What is KGMA?

KGMA stands for King George's Music Academy. It is a music school started by drummer, Chua Chun Leng, in year 2015. We have just turned 5 this year!

Where is KGMA?

KGMA is located at just 5 minutes walk away from the Lavender MRT station.

Who are the teachers?

KGMA hires only professional teachers that are passionate, flexible, quick-thinking, patient and most importantly highly adaptable in different situations. We strive to make every lesson engaging and interactive for the students.

What instrument do you specialize in?

Drums.

What is special about KGMA?

Lessons are tailored specially for each student. We are professionals within a close knitted community. While other schools focuses on building student database, we are obsessed with building a community of passionate and inspired musicians.

Why should I come to KGMA?

We are a small school so we maintain and manage a small pool of passionate and capable teachers.

How much are music lessons usually?

Thanks to the location of the school, we are able to keep lessons affordable for everyone. Lessons start from $150 a month onwards. We are open to giving discounts to students who are unable to pay the fees due to financial problems. We believe every student should not be denied the opportunity to learn music.

How are music lessons different at KGMA?

We believe that music is a universal language and a tool in expressing ourselves. While we do pride ourselves in delivering distinction students in music examinations, we also want students to be able to express through improvisation. To truly enjoy music, we believe students should not only play but also create.

How are music lessons conducted?

Music classes in KGMA are conducted one-to-one. Lessons are customized and tailored bring out individual strengths and weaknesses in students. We believe that this would bring out the best in our students as every musician progress at a different pace. Group classes are also available - bring your friends or family along and sign up together! Having your loved ones alongside you while learning makes for very memorable experiences!

Music classes at KGMA are held in a cosy and conducive environment. With customized lesson plan for every student, we cater lessons for students who want to go for exam, leisure musicians, adult students, students with special needs or disability.
