Drum beat is like the heartbeat to the band.
Our dedicated drum teachers will help you to develop proper techniques and drum rudiments through our drum lessons. Over the years, we have developed a strong and highly adaptable syllabus to cater for complete beginners and up. Our drum teachers help to create progressive exercises to help students improve. We make drumming simpler. Drum scores are provided.
It is no secret that music can help immensely with a child's development. Learning drums can help to lengthen attention span and improve a child's emotional faculties and motor skills. We take our drum lessons to the next level.
Your First Drum Class
Children learn at their own pace and in their own way. Our drum lessons for children work their own pace in a personalized, non-linear fashion. Students will learn about the parts of the Drums: Hi-hat, Toms, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Crash Cymbal, Ride Cymbal, etc. They combine structure with adaptability to help students understand the basics of learning drums while allowing them to progress and explore their own music genres. Students will learn the basic rudiments, drum theory, basic techniques, drumstick grips, foot technique, and more.
Kids-Friendly Drum School
To fulfill our children's drum ambition, we have a 1/4 size kid's drum set for children below the age of 8 to play on. Older students in our music school can usually play on an adult acoustic drum kit. Both our drum studios are equipped with two drum sets - One for the instructor and the other for the student. This helps to teach and demonstrating drum techniques and gives a complete learning experience. Classes for toddlers and classes for kids will be held in our 2nd studio equpped with the smaller Drumset! Investing in drum lessons for kids today can help them strive towards a more enriching tomorrow.
Drum Examination (Grade Drum Course)
While reading drum notation is not a must for every drummer, it is highly recommended for our students who are taking the examination. The ability to read drum notation enables students to learn and practice on their own. We have taught many students to prepare them for Trinity Rock and Pop, Rockschool, Trinity Guildhall, and LCM examinations. Our drum lessons are catered for complete beginners and transferred students from other music schools. All drum students, however, are encouraged to do regular practices and develop their drum solos for higher grade examinations. We want our students to be exam smart and are prepared to enter the music scene whenever they are ready.
Online Drum Lessons
Since the start of the Circuit Breaker in Singapore, we have also been providing online lessons for all musical instruments to our students. KGMA Online Music Lessons is a viable option for students who find it inconvenient to travel and would prefer to have lessons at home. Today, most of our music teachers have some days that we are teaching from home while others are teaching in our music centre. All music lessons from home act like private lessons, one-to-one with our quality music teachers.
