KGMA Plans during 27 March - 30 April
Dear KGMA students and parents,
As quoted from MOH’s website (https://www.moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/tighter-measures-to-minimise-further-spread-of-covid-19):
“All centre-based tuition and enrichment classes will be suspended. This is to reduce the intermingling of students from different schools and enhance the safety of our students.”
We have contacted MOH and other music schools to verify if it affects us. We regrettably announce that we have to suspend all music lessons at KGMA for the utmost safety and well-being of our students. This will be in effect from 27 March 2020 to 30 April 2020.
As part of our contingency plan, we will be conducting E-Learning which we have planned for 2 months beforehand– since February. Hence, we believe that we will be more well prepared. All lessons will be conducted online and you can attend them in the comfort of your own home. This will be the best option to take in the long run in case the Covid-19 situation worsens.
The e-learning lessons will be in the form of online video call and we will be using Discord as the streaming platform. All you need would be a phone/tablet or laptop with a built-in front camera, as well as a microphone. The app will have to be installed on your device and you will need to make an account as well. Instructions on how to set-up the online lesson can be found here: Click Here!
As an alternative option, you can also have our teacher come down to your house for lessons. However, there will be an extra $20 charge incurred for transport fees per lesson.
At KGMA, we will do our best to deliver music lessons through any means possible during this period. In the meantime, we will be on the lookout for more updates from MOH should any changes be made. Should you have any queries, feel free to contact us at 9735 8075. Thank you for your understanding.
We hope for all of you to stay safe and protected during this time and be stay healthy!
From,
King George’s Music Academy
